You can make secure purchases from our store by adding albums to your cart with the Buy buttons. And you can mix digital downloads with physical CDs in the cart. Albums with a digital download option (almost all) have a button to choose either CD or Download.

When you are ready to checkout, or want to see what is in your cart, just click the View Cart button at left or the Checkout button that will appear when your cart has something in it.

Please note that you do not need to login to make your purchase. You can ignore the login option if you like.

Payment is made through PayPal. You can use your own PayPal account, or if you do not have an account you can still pay with a major charge card without having to create a PayPal account. It's quick and easy ... and secure.

If these methods are impossible for you then please contact us (below) to work out an alternative. A bank transfer is possible.

Payment is in US dollars. PayPal will instantly convert other currencies.

Please remember that buying directly through us provides maximum support for the labels and for the artists we release (we do pay royalties to our artists) and makes it possible for more excellent future releases and the development of this site.
 

Because we use light weight 'unbreakable' cases, the shipping costs are kept as low as possible. We only charge the actual shipping cost.

Canada shipping varies across the country. The software may get it wrong. You can email us for the correct shipping cost for an order.

Shipping times are unpredictable outside Canada, but expect about 1 week to the USA and two weeks to destinations outside North America. 

 

We usually ship within 24 hours of receiving your order, excluding weekends (orders can be mailed on Saturday, but they will not actually go anywhere until Monday). We ship with regular post. Further costs may apply if you want special shipping. Our shipping costs are as low as we can make them given postal rates and materials. We don't attempt to make money on shipping. Shipping is a little higher for orders outside North America (Canada and USA). Once you have entered your address (on Checkout) you will see the shipping cost -- you can then still go back to View Cart and change anything in your order.

And because you are buying our own releases direct, you will find that our CD prices are very reasonable.


 
Most of our albums come in "unbreakable" poly cases with a front insert, printed on both sides, and with a clearly visible printed spine.

Album download purchases are available shortly after your payment is made and cleared with PayPal, which just takes a minute or two.

After payment you should automatically return to a DataObscura download page. Just click on the link(s) to download your purchase.

Note: if the download link is not available yet this is simply because we have not heard back from PayPal ... just wait a minute then refresh the page and the download link should become available.

You will also receive a download link in your confirmation email, so you can retrieve your download later (within 24 hours) if you prefer.

Please Note: We have noticed that the download link may occasionally fail on the site (if paypal's response is slow) and show and Error, but the confirmation email download link should work perfectly ok. So do try this method if you are having any problems on the site.

Our downloads are quality mp3 files at 192kbs up to 320kbs. All newer releases are 320kbs (the Details page will tell you), and we are gradually upgrading earlier releases to a higher quality. The download always includes any available cover graphics. The album download is a single zip file.
